Lexington, KY., June 18th, 2004: Long Island Recording Records (LIR Records) announced today the Company has has signed it's first artist, the band “Partly Cloudy” to its newly born Record label. The first title "State of Mind" is scheduled for release late July, 2004. The project is being recorded at the Long Island Recording Studios in Lexington, KY.

Take a handful of Sublime, a dash of Red Hot Chili Peppers, a dose of Jimi Hendrix and a shred of Operation Ivy; stir it all up in a voodoo blend with the end result being Partly Cloudy! Having evolved from four punk kids playing garage anthems in 1995, Partly Cloudy has harnessed that youthful spirit and shaped it into a musical force to be reckoned.

Discovered by LIR Records CEO, Wil Freebody. Mr. Freebody stated “This is not our first indie project". The first, IN-FI a blues label, the second Tranquillity a Christian and now we are poised to launch our third label, Long Island Recording Records, a mainstream top forty label.
